Vacancy: Manager Repair (40 hours)

R.C.R. Repair B.V. is a company based in Rotterdam-Botlek that performs all common repairs on tank, box and reefer containers. The sister companies Cetem and RCC Trading are active in the storage and sale of containers. These companies use the services of R.C.R. Repair to get the containers in the desired condition. In addition to repairing containers, R.C.R. also has a department that is active in modifying containers for use other than their original purpose.

Due to the growth of the organization, we are currently looking for a:

Manager Repair (40 hours)

The Repair Manager oversees the repair supervisor for box repairs, the services supervisor, and the project supervisor. The Repair Manager oversees all supervisors who work at our location in Rotterdam-Botlek.

The Repair manager ensures that the work is carried out in accordance with applicable safety requirements and legislation. In addition, the Repair manager works together with the supervisors to ensure the correct quality delivery.

Provides (indirect) guidance on the execution of work tasks and oversees the locations with a distribution of performing workers and directs the Apprentice Montors, 1^e and 2^e Mounting and cleaning when supervisors are absent. Monitoring role in (re-)assembling and cleaning (tank) containers.

Together with the manager of terminal operations, he is responsible for providing information to (internal) customers regarding repair hours/costs and progress. He maintains contact with the temporary employment agencies regarding the correct staffing and implementation of coordinated schedules. He is responsible for (ensuring compliance with) the VMS policy within the entire RBC and Cetem organization. He actively participates in meetings in this regard. Furthermore, the Repair manager is responsible for a proper purchasing policy for materials and is able to translate drawings and estimates into practical work on the job site. He is a People manager capable of extracting the maximum from people.

Job requirements

• You are well-versed in technical matters and have experience in the field of welding, grinding and cutting work or carpentry. You have a curious nature and are enthusiastic about learning the trade;
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrable leadership experience in a similar position;
• Experience in reading technical drawings is a must;
• You have good command of the Dutch and English languages (Polish a plus);
• You can work independently;
• You are proactive and enterprising, and think creatively;
• You work in a solution-oriented, result-oriented and quality-oriented manner;
• Working safely is a matter of course for you;
• You have your own means of transport due to the accessibility of our company.
