R.C.R. Repair B.V. is a company based in Rotterdam-Botlek that performs all types of repairs on tank, box, and reefer containers. Its sister companies, Cetem and RCC Trading, are active in the storage and sale of containers. These companies use the services of R.C.R. Repair to restore the containers to the desired condition. In addition to repairing containers, R.C.R. also has a division that specializes in modifying containers for uses other than their original purpose.

Due to the organization's growth, we are currently looking for a:

Repair Manager (40 hours)

The Repair Manager supervises the Box Repair Supervisor, the Services Supervisor, and the Projects Supervisor. The Repair Manager supervises all supervisors working at our Rotterdam-Botlek location.

The Repair Manager is responsible for ensuring that work is performed in accordance with applicable safety requirements and laws and regulations. The Repair Manager also works with the supervisors to ensure that work is delivered to the required quality standards.

Provides (indirect) guidance on the execution of work, oversees the sites by assigning staff, and directs Apprentice Technicians,^1st and^2nd Technicians, and cleaners in the absence of supervisors. Plays a monitoring role in the repair and cleaning of (tank) containers or in arranging for such work to be done.

Together with the Terminal Operations Manager, is responsible for providing information to (internal) customers regarding repair hours, costs, and progress. Maintains contact with staffing agencies regarding proper staffing and the execution of agreed-upon schedules. Is responsible for (compliance with) the VMS policy throughout the entire RBC and Cetem organization. Actively participates in related meetings. The Repair Manager is also responsible for ensuring an appropriate procurement policy for materials and is capable of effectively translating drawings and estimates into actual work on the shop floor. Is a people manager capable of bringing out the best in others.

Job requirements

• You have strong technical skills and experience in technical fields such as welding, grinding, cutting, or carpentry. You have a willingness to learn and are eager to master the trade;
• At least 2 years of verifiable managerial experience in a similar position;
• Experience reading technical drawings is a must;
• You have a good command of Dutch and English (Polish is a plus);
• You can work independently;
• You are proactive, take the initiative, and think creatively;
• You are solution-oriented, results-oriented, and quality-oriented;
• Working safely is second nature to you;
• You must have your own transportation due to the location of our company.
